Welcome To Asgard
Welcome to the glorious realm of Asgard, all golden and glistening.
How did you get here? You may know or you may be confused but now you are here and you should look around. Maybe you can even find a passage to one of the other realms from here. You may run into a friend or a foe or meet strangers - or you may even run into some other version of yourself...
Feel free to mingle.

[She doesn't realize it's not earth, only that it's a location that she doesn't recognize, with strange and unfamiliar architecture. Every corner of the city screams to her of danger danger danger no matter how glittering and welcoming it might be. Her world has been set off balance enough as of late, and the last thing she wants is to be some unknown place with no knowledge of how she got there in the first place.]
[As much as she might try to blend into the shadows and make herself invisible it's a bit difficult as her ratty clothes in Midgardian style give her away as an outsider.]

Who are you?

[--and what a loaded question that is. She's caught deep somewhere between the Soldier and a war hero who shares her face, with the two lifetimes shifting between each other and leaving behind memories that only confuse her more. So what is she supposed to say, when even she doesn't know the answer?]
...nobody.
[Maybe if she acts nondescript enough he'll leave her alone to find her way back home.]

I'm not anyone important. [It comes out more of a growl than she intended.] I'm not even supposed to be here.
[Though where she is supposed to be is a bit of a mystery.]

[And she turns to do just that; There's no reason to hang about.]

[Have a Loki giving you a pointed look, Tony. Yes, he recognises you but somehow he isn't locked away in a prison.]

[Tony whips around and backs himself against the wall. Yeah he hasn't forgotten the window thing.]
I'm just looking around thank you. I can do that right? You aren't going to smite me or anything.

[Tony shrugs and shakes his head.]
No idea yet. I just appeared and started wandering around. No one stopped me.

It was odd, to be in one room of Asgard's palace, and then suddenly find himself in a hallway a good distance from it. Under normal circumstances, Loki might have considered his recent sleeplessness as an explanation for this. But even at a sprint, he could not have made it to this place, so quickly. Much less at a leisurely pace.
Something was wrong. Something was off, and he didn't like it.
Had he traversed universes, again? Or had he been brought here?
The awkward bit, amongst others, was that Loki was in his Aesir form, at the moment, not illusioned to seem as Odin. Which was quite well enough in his new set of personal rooms, but not in a hallway, where any guard might stumble upon him.
To make matters worse, he was not sure what form would elicit what responses. What universe was this?

Loki halted upon seeing the figure. Was this some sort of illusion? He wasn't causing it, that much he knew. But who else would? And why?
Narrowing his eyes, he approached.

Looking up swiftly as his alternate approached, Loki seemed ruffled for only a moment. Alternates, he had dealt with before. But it was usually unnerving, and had never once proved favorable.
He was different. A middle ground, amongst his alternates evidently, but leaning towards the kinder ones. Which only gained him, from his alternates, more of the ostracizing insults that he'd as-ever received. Some had called him weak, sentimental. Others called him murderer.
At least he could pride himself, that those alternates who found him weak, were not those whom he truly wanted to impress, anyway. They knew not of strength, themselves; only of power. Not that he needed to impress anyone. Others of himself, perhaps least of all.
"Another me? Is it only my face you bear, or are you Loki?" The question meant so many things. He'd stopped trying to work out what they were, by now. The responses that just hearing his own name brought out in him, were so numerous as to be overwhelming. What he wanted to know here, was some proof that this was an alternate, and not just an illusion.

"I am Loki," he said, straightening up with dignity. "I take it that you are also going to claim that name."
He eyed the other warily but confident that he was the real one. Something must be wrong...

With a tilt of the head to show his agreement, Loki answered, "It is mine to claim." Unlike other titles.

"Reveal yourself."
no subject
"I'm sorry, I thought nobody could see me, I'm not doing anything bad here-"
She cuts off when she turns enough to see who's addressing her and the look on her face becomes confused and a bit relieved. "Loki? Why- how did you get here?"
no subject
"I live here," he frowned a bit. "You are not from here. Who are you?"
no subject
"No, you're right, I'm not from here. I'm from- Earth, in a different universe. My name's Dana." There's no sign of dishonesty in her words, but from the way she talks and fidgets, it seems like she's not saying everything she wants to.
no subject
"You knew my name," he noted. "You sounded as if you knew me. Why?"
Different universe... He had noticed what she'd said there.
